WABetaInfo has reported that WhatsApp is developing a file sharing feature. A new feature called ‘People Nearby’ is coming to WhatsApp. It is not clear when the feature will be released, but a screenshot of it has surfaced.
To start sharing files, the sender and recipient need to go to the “People Nearby” section and wait for the file transfer to complete. End-to-end encryption across Meta’s messaging platform also keeps your information secure.
To protect privacy, WhatsApp hides your phone number when sharing files with users outside of your contact list.
